We know the tremendous impact volunteers make in our communities and the value they bring to our organizations. During NVW, share with your volunteers just how valuable their contributions are.

The most effective way to thank volunteers for their efforts is to tell them how their voluntary contributions are making a positive impact. Volunteers want to see the impact of their efforts and simply seeing they’ve created positive change is often their most valued reward. Showcasing the difference your volunteers make is crucial both to retaining current volunteers and attracting new ones.

Although NVW offers a great opportunity to recognize your volunteers and celebrate civic participation across Canada, it’s important to take time for volunteer recognition throughout the year – it’s an ongoing effort, not a yearly task. Volunteer recognition conducted throughout the year reinforces the important message that volunteers are critical to your organization, and their efforts make a real difference.
